26 questions
Can I ask about AI and automation?
Yes. Tell us about the workflow you would like to improve. We welcome inquiries, but paid AI packages are not currently available. Any potential project would need a feasibility review and an agreed scope before being offered.
Can I start with a small amount of support?
Yes. Our virtual assistance plans start at 20 assistant hours per month. We agree on a focused task list, responsibilities, and working hours before getting started.
How is pricing determined?
Global Virtual Assistance starts at $399 per month for 20 assistant hours. U.S. Based Virtual Assistance starts at $799 per month for 20 hours. Both include a U.S. point of contact and defined account oversight. There is no standard VA setup fee. A bounded kickoff and initial task handoff are included; complex migrations are quoted separately. Your written proposal confirms availability, responsibilities, and fees.
Where will my assistant be based?
Choose U.S. Based Virtual Assistance for an assistant working from the United States, or Global Virtual Assistance for an assistant based in the Philippines or India. Both have the same task documentation, reporting, and account oversight standards. We confirm the assigned location, working hours, personnel, and permitted data access before work begins.
Can I choose a global assistant who works during U.S. business hours?
We can scope U.S. business-hour overlap for either delivery option, subject to staffing. Global support does not automatically mean overnight coverage, and U.S. based support does not automatically include every U.S. time zone. Your proposal states the actual working window.
Who is this a good fit for?
Our virtual assistance services are designed for founders, small teams, service businesses, and growing companies that need help with recurring work. The service fit tool can help you identify the tasks you would like to delegate.
What if I want to improve a repetitive workflow?
Start by discussing the tasks, handoffs, and tools involved. Your assistant can help document an agreed process. If you are exploring AI or automation, tell us about it in a discovery call; paid AI packages are not currently available.
How do you handle access and sensitive information?
We agree on access, responsibilities, and handling expectations before work begins. Use individual accounts and limited permissions. Never put passwords or confidential information in the inquiry form.
Do I have to change the tools I already use?
Not necessarily. We start by understanding your existing tools and processes. Any new software, integration, subscription cost, or workflow change is discussed as part of the scope.
What happens after I find my service fit?
You can create a brief with your needs and service-fit answers. When email delivery is enabled, submitting the inquiry sends a copy to Lazar & Company and the email address you provide. The page shows whether delivery is available and whether the email service accepted the request. Copy and download remain available.
What is included when we get started?
Standard onboarding includes a kickoff call of up to 45 minutes and the initial handoff of up to two agreed tasks, within your first month’s account oversight allowance. Assistant task execution uses your plan hours. Complex migrations and additional onboarding are scoped and priced separately before work begins.

More detail before you delegate.
What can a virtual assistant do for a small service business?
An agreed scope can include inbox organization, calendar coordination, CRM updates, inquiry follow ups, document preparation, content scheduling, and recurring administration. We begin with your existing process, define the decisions you retain, and confirm what requires specialist knowledge or separate scoping.
How do I choose between a 20, 40, and 80 hour virtual assistant plan?
List recurring tasks, how often they occur, the instructions available, and an initial estimate of time needed. Twenty hours can be a focused starting scope; larger plans allow more purchased task time. No plan guarantees a fixed number of outputs. Review actual hours and workload before expanding.
What is the difference between U.S. based and global virtual assistance?
The main differences are the assistant’s work location and the package price. Global plans start at $399 for 20 hours and U.S. based plans at $799 for 20 hours. Both include a U.S. point of contact and defined account oversight. We confirm working hours, responsibilities, permitted access, and staffing in the proposal.
How soon can a virtual assistant start after a discovery call?
A start date is confirmed after scope, staffing availability, the agreement, payment, and required access are arranged. We do not promise immediate placement or a fixed onboarding deadline. The first month starts with a bounded kickoff and the initial handoff of up to two agreed tasks.
What should I prepare for my assistant’s kickoff?
Bring the first two task instructions, an approved example of completed work, the relevant systems, the working schedule, an escalation contact, and the decisions you want to approve. Use individual accounts and limited permissions. Share credentials through an agreed password manager rather than the website inquiry form.
How are assistant hours and completed work reviewed?
Monthly VA plans include weekly activity and hours summaries. Agree on the task tracker and update rhythm at kickoff. Review completed work, pending decisions, hours used, and upcoming priorities. When measuring improvement, establish your starting point and distinguish time spent from business results.
Can a virtual assistant send emails or book appointments for me?
Yes, within written responsibilities and approval rules. Define approved templates, available meeting windows, protected time, and exceptions. Messages, bookings, purchases, or commitments outside that authority should be escalated before action.
How are confidentiality and private client information handled?
Before work begins, agree on confidentiality expectations, any written nondisclosure arrangements, permitted information access, approved contacts, and communication channels. Private schedules, household details, identities, and locations should only be shared as needed for authorized tasks. Confirm return or removal of access when the engagement ends.
Can my assistant use AI or automation with my business information?
Any proposed use should first be discussed and approved, including the tool, permitted information, human review, and who authorizes final actions. A VA plan does not automatically authorize uploading confidential information to AI tools or starting an automation project. Paid AI consulting packages are not currently available.
Can virtual assistance and in person support be combined?
We can discuss both needs in one discovery call, but each delivery arrangement needs a clear scope, schedule, and pricing. Monthly VA package hours cover remote work. Physical errands, local appointments, travel, and private client engagements are separately quoted; staffing and availability must be confirmed.
How are local travel, expenses, and vendor appointments priced?
For in person services, the proposal defines the service location, working hours, travel arrangements, approved expenses, and spending authority. New costs or changes to vendor scope come back for approval. In person services in Nevada and California do not inherit the monthly virtual assistant package rates.
